The whole world is open for digital nomads and it is difficult to take a decision of which country is best to move in coming year 2024. Spain is ranked number one worldwide and in Europe for digital nomads. Starting in 2023, if you want to live in Spain using their remote work visa, you need to have a monthly income that’s at least twice the minimum wage, which is over €2,600 or $2,750. You can stay for up to a year.

At the beginning of this year, Spain shared news that they would permit the spouses and families of approved digital nomad visa holders to join, given their higher income levels surpassing the minimum requirement. For each family member, applicants must demonstrate an extra $1,000 per month, followed by an additional $335 per person per month.

According to Spain’s Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security, and Migration, before applying, candidates need to meet several requirements. These include having a clean criminal record for the past five years, securing private health insurance, possessing a one-year employment contract with a foreign company, and having a minimum of three years of work experience or a college degree in their respective field. Argentina, the south american country is second on the list. Argentina introduced a digital nomad visa in May 2022. The visa is valid for 180 days, with an option for renewal, and citizens from visa-exempt countries can apply. They are also providing discount on airport transfers, discounted first-night hotel stays in the city, a SIM card, and a SUBE card for public transport. Although specific income requirements haven’t been officially disclosed, it is speculated that an approximate minimum of $2,500 per month will likely be necessary to qualify for Argentina’s digital nomad visa.
